Extra Innings Fall Baseball League
The goal of the league is to provide area ballplayers with an opportunity to improve skills, try different positions, play in the best weather of the year and have lots of fun doing it.
Players can register as individuals and play for a team sponsored by Extra Innings and coached by our staff or play as a member of an independent team. The breakdown on ages for this league is as follows:
18U Wood Bat - This is a Wood Bat League - Players must be going into grades 10-12. Any JV or Varsity High School age players should play in this division. All games are played on Saturdays Sept 6th - Oct 18th. 18U Division players are eligible to be selected to play in the Extra Innings All Star Game. This showcase is scheduled for October 19th and is attended by many college coaches. These games are played on high school fields and play 9 inning games (discounts are provided to purchase wood bats in our pro shop). Fields we will be playing include but are not limited to: Strafford High School, Clever High School, Barnhouse Field (Republic Legion Field). Start times for games will be 9:00, 12:00, and 3:00 each Saturday and each team will be put on a rotation so expect to play a different time each week.
14U Wood Bat - This is a Wood Bat League - Players must be going into grades 8 and 9. Any Rookie Legion or Freshman High School age players should play in this division. All games are played on Saturdays September 6th - October 18th. 14U Division players are eligible to be selected to play in the Extra Innings All Star Game. This showcase is scheduled for October 19th and is attended by many college coaches. These games are played on high school fields and play 9 inning games (discounts are provided to purchase wood bats in our pro shop). 12U - Players in this division must be entering grades 5 – 7. All games are played on Saturdays September 6th - October 11th. 5th through 7th grade played on 50/70 ft fields with 1 ½ hour time limit. Games in this division will be played at the Westside Optimist Fields. Game start times will be 10:00, 11:30, 1:00, and 2:30. Each team will be put on a rotation so expect different start times each week and will vary depending on the number of teams that sign up.
10U - Players in this division must be entering grades 3 and 4. This division is is a modified player pitch league. Saturday League - All games are played on Saturdays September 6th - October 11th. 3rd and 4th grade is modified player pitch played on 46/60 ft fields with 1 ½ hour time limit. Games in this division will be played at the Westside Optimist Fields. Game start times will be 10:00, 11:30, 1:00, and 2:30. Each team will be put on a rotation so expect different start times each week and will vary depending on the number of teams that sign up.
8U - - Players must be entering grades 1 and 2 and this is a coach pitch division. Minimum age for this division is 7 years old and players cannot turn 9 before May 1. We will form one team (12 players maximum) and enter that team in the Springfield Park Board Fall League held at Cooper Sports Complex. Those games are played on Friday nights. Practices will be held on Saturdays at the Westside Optimist Fields. The fee to play on this team does not include your admission in to games held at Cooper Sports Complex.
(All ages are based on what grade the player is starting in August or September).
